Subaru of Georgetown has a new midsize crossover to benefit drivers and families of Texas: The 2020 Subaru Ascent. This three-row crossover made its grand debut last year and enjoyed popularity for its space, safety, drivetrain, and capability. However, this SUV hardly stands alone in its class, and, here at Subaru of Georgetown, we found a few challenges in the lineup. Check out our comparison of the 2020 Subaru Ascent and come see us in Georgetown, Texas at S IH 35 Frontage Rd, less than a 40-minute drive outside of Round Rock.

A Challenge of SUVs

Many high-rated brands offer a three-row SUV comparable in size, but they fall short in a variety of important ways. The Subaru Ascent outshines the new Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander in terms of fuel economy and available features, despite these two competing SUVs beginning at a higher price. Likewise, the Subaru Ascent also provides Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive on all trim levels, to help Cedar Park drivers out when the rainfall increases. The Volkswagen Atlas offers a 4MOTION all-wheel drive of its own brand, but this feature only comes available on select higher trim levels for an extra fee.

Interestingly, while the Nissan brand prides itself on the powerful engines of its SUVs, its comparable three-row Pathfinder falls short of the Subaru Ascent when it comes to standard conveniences for the money.
