Job Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Establishes department goals and objectives and a marketing plan for achievement
  2. Develops annual operating budget

  12. Instills a philosophy of customer care and satisfaction in employees

Experience/Requirements: Knowledge of automotive service systems. Valid Driver's License and good driving record. 3-4 years experience in an auto repair facility. 3 years supervisory experience

Qualifications/Education: Completion of 2 year vocational training and college with business courses preferred

Service Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly performs appropriate and necessary diagnostics to identify vehicle problem utilizing all available factory technical information and specified tools/equipment.
  2. Performs vehicle repair as outlined on repair order within specified time frame according to proper factory repair procedures and dealer policies.
  3. Reviews service write-up to verify required work.
  4. Determines if vehicle requires any other work and immediately advises details to Service Advisor including if repairs can be completed within time promised.
  5. Secures needed parts from the Parts Department.
  6. Strives to exceed customer expectations for repair.
  7. Ensures service repair notes/records are clear and well documented.
  8. Road Tests vehicles to ensure repairs are properly completed.
  9. Ensures the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
  10. Ensures warranty claims are properly documented and submitted in a timely manner.
  11. Assists Service Advisors as needed in communicating with customers about vehicle repairs.
  12. Assist other technicians as needed.
  13. Participate in mentoring/apprentice program.
  14. Attend factory-training classes to stay current with new vehicle systems, attend technical training classes, keep, up to date on industry developments/information, and seek professional certifications.
  15. Comply with federal (i.e., OSHA), state, and local regulations governing safety and hazardous waste disposal.
  16. Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  17. Use shop tools with care, and take time to keep them organized, clean and properly maintained

Experience/Requirements: 5 years experience in auto repair; manufacturer service experience preferred.

Qualifications/Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. ASE Certification preferred. Knowledge of Volvo/Subaru service preferred. Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
