The Premium gains individual climate controls on the front passenger side (in addition to the driver's side), a pair of rear charging-only USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, two additional speakers, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen in place of the dual-display system.
More convenience appears at the Sport trim level, which gains proximity keyless entry with push-button engine start, as well as a garage-door opener and auto-dimming ability on the rearview mirror. For a 12-speaker Harman Kardon® premium audio system, go with at least the Limited XT. Subaru adds a single-disc CD player on the Touring XT.
Safety
Driver assistance on the 2021 Subaru Legacy is provided by the EyeSight suite for adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, pre-collision braking, and lane departure warning and sway warning. Also assisting the driver are a rearview camera and automatic high-beam technology. Seven airbags are in the cabin to provide protection if a crash occurs. At the Premium trim level, Subaru adds the Starlink Safety and Security suite, which includes functions such as automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle recovery, and emergency and roadside assistance.
At the Limited trim level, the Legacy gets additional driver assistance with automatic braking, blind-spot detection, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. A distraction mitigation system appears at the Limited XT trim level, and the Touring XT is the only model with a 180-degree front view monitor.
